Best Small Boutiques to Give Your Money

ellahols

I know your type; you’re just like me! You love to shop, but your bank account begs you to spend your time in other ways. So we thrift and hunt for sales at department stores so we can swipe our card yet again. However, once that direct deposit hits my account, I’m ready to stop checking the price of the piece that catches my eye (for a day at least). So my lovely readers, these shops are where I go when I’m feeling that little bit of financial freedom.

First up are my favorite boutiques in Town & Country, undisputedly the best collection of stores in the area. Pop into Douce France for a cappuccino and croissant, and get to shopping!

Evereve

When I walk into Evereve, I immediately find at least three things I want to buy due to its expansive selection and aesthetically pleasing displays. Evereve has a beautiful assortment of shoes to choose from, ranging from intricate heels to everyday slip-ons. Since I’ve been on a shoe kick recently, this has really appealed to me. Plus, I value the quality of a shoe far more than the rest of my accessories, so I’m willing to spend more for a good shoe. Check out the coats and jackets for some underrated finds.

Lesley Evers

Lesley Evers is a younger, livelier boutique in Town & Country with a focus on vivid designs. My favorite piece they offer are their dresses. These dresses are great for the California weather: breezy, bright, and casual. They also have handbags, totes, and bermuda bags to browse. Overall, this is a great boutique to visit and explore.

Moving on to Downtown Palo Alto, these boutiques are a three-minute walk from each other and are best visited in conjunction. After a lunch at Ramen Nagi or Sweetgreen, head over to these locally-founded stores to check out their offerings.

Blue Bin Vintage

This is a more well-known store due to its proximity to campus and vintage selection, but I am not personally a frequent shopper at Blue Bin because I believe that I can get the same quality for a lower price with just a little more effort at a thrift store. However, there are some fantastic finds at Blue Bin. If you are looking to invest in high-quality, basic staples like a leather jacket or good denim, I would definitely recommend looking here.

Dolma

Dolma Tibetan Handicraft is a hidden gem located right on University. They have unique jewelry, belts, scarves, and pashminas to explore here made with silk and other great materials. If you are a fan of intricate jewelry, definitely take a look at Dolma and see what you can find. It’s a beautiful store with great sales associates, and it definitely needs more hype.

Farmers’ Market Jewelers

Every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, there are fantastic farmers’ markets that Stanford students can easily walk to. There is a smaller-scale market at White Plaza on campus every Tuesday and Friday, and a hugely popular market every Sunday on California Avenue. At each farmers’ market, you can almost always find a jewelry booth with a local artisan excited to show off their pieces.  I have found so many great accessories from these booths, including two rings I wear every day. Don’t sleep on the farmers’ market to do some great shopping!

That’s it from me this week, FashionXers. Talk soon xx

Fashionably,

Ella
